First, the principle of ultraviolet disinfection

Ultraviolet rays can be classified into UV-A (320-400 nm), UV-B (275-320 nm), UV-C (200-275 nm) and vacuum ultraviolet portions according to their biological effects. In the water treatment, the UV-C portion of the ultraviolet ray is actually used, and in this band, ultraviolet rays having the highest sterilizing efficiency have been confirmed in the vicinity of 260 nm.

Second, UV disinfection has the following advantages:
1. High-efficiency sterilization: UV sterilization of bacteria and viruses can generally achieve a sterilization rate of 99%-99.9% in one to two seconds.
2, high-efficiency sterilization broad-spectrum: the broad spectrum of ultraviolet sterilization is the highest, it can kill almost all bacteria and viruses.
3, no secondary pollution: UV sterilization does not add any chemicals, so it will not cause secondary pollution of water bodies and the surrounding environment. Does not change any ingredients in the water.
4, safe and reliable operation: The traditional disinfection technology such as the use of chloride or ozone, the disinfectant itself is highly toxic, flammable substances. The UV disinfection system does not have such a safety hazard.
5, the operation and maintenance costs are low: the ultraviolet disinfection equipment occupies a small area, the structure requirements are simple, so the total investment is less. The cost in terms of operation is also low. At the level of kiloton water treatment, its cost is only 1/2 of that of chlorine disinfection.
